Australia Energy Rating Label Testing
We provide testing services according to the Australia Energy Rating Label program. Products exported to Australia must to show compliance with the Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS).
Australia Energy Rating Label programs were made mandatory by both state government legislation and the regulations that enforce relevant Australian Standards. Regulations specify the general energy requirements for labeling of appliances, including offenses and penalties if a party does not comply.
Technical requirements for labels are set out in the relevant appliance standard, which is referenced in state regulations. State based legislation is necessary because the Australian constitution gives Australian States clear responsibility for resource management issues, including energy.
