As the COVID-19 pandemic has evolved, there has been a fundamental shift in perceptions toward hygiene, sanitation, and safety in malls and other shopping centers. Intertek is working with companies to have procedures in place to prevent the spread of illness on the retail floor, at the cash register, in break rooms, and more, in addition to educating staff and ensuring they are equipped to enact these procedures as part of an immediate preventative risk management strategy.
