Sarah Zupko, B.Sc. Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Associate I, Notifications, Chemicals Group
Sarah Zupko joined the Intertek Assuris Chemicals Group as a Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Associate I (US Regulatory) in 2023. Ms. Zupko’s responsibilities include preparing dossiers for submissions under Section 5 of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), including Pre-Manufacture Notices (PMNs), Bona Fide Intents to Manufacture (BFIM), and Low Volume Exemptions (LVEs) in the United States. She uses her attention to detail and organizational skills to assist clients in effectively notifying their chemical substance. She understands that protecting Confidential Business Information (CBI) is of utmost importance and prepares the detailed substantiations that are required. She analyses and interprets complex chemical regulations to respond to clients’ needs.
Ms. Zupko also uses her toxicology background to assess study reports and prepare waiver requests and alternative methodology reports to meet the complex health and environmental toxicity requirements under various chemical notifications programs.
Ms. Zupko graduated from the University of Guelph with a B.Sc. in Biomedical Toxicology.
