Shadi Rahimipour Anaraki is a Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Associate 2 at Intertek Assuris, Chemicals Group, where she plays a role in Safety Data Sheets (SDS) authoring and ensuring regulatory compliance. With a robust background in Toxicology and Chemistry, Shadi applies her expertise to meticulously prepare SDS for a diverse range of products across Canada, the US, and Europe. Her work adheres to key hazard communication regulations including OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200), the Canadian Hazardous Products Regulations (HPR WHMIS 2015), the European Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation, and the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH).
Shadi is proficient in using advanced software tools such as LISAM and WERCS to ensure accuracy and compliance in SDS preparation. Currently pursuing a college program in Regulatory Affairs and Quality Operations at Seneca College, she continuously enhances her knowledge to meet evolving regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Before joining Intertek, Shadi accumulated over five years of hands-on experience in the regulatory industry, specializing in toxicology and chemical safety. Her previous roles involved generating and maintaining SDS for in-process and finished goods, conducting thorough classification reviews, evaluating product formulations, and updating raw material classifications through comprehensive research across global data sources and systems. She consistently ensures adherence to additional regulatory requirements, contributing to the safety and compliance of chemical products in various markets.
