Dayna Lozon is a Scientific Consultant (Toxicology and Regulatory Affairs) within the Food & Nutrition Group of Intertek Health Sciences Inc. She writes dossiers for the authorization of novel foods and food additives in the European Union (EU) and United Kingdom (UK) and liaisons with these government bodies. She also assists in writing GRAS/NDIN dossiers for the U.S. and assists in riting dossiers for submission to FSANZ and TGA in Australia/New Zealand. She also helps clients navigate these regulatory landscapes and can identify data gaps that would prevent authorization.
Dayna’s responsibilities include conducting formulation and regulatory reviews for ingredient/products intended for the EU/UK markets, performing literature searches using ProQuest and developing search strategies, and assisting clients with registration of food manufacturing facilities with the FDA.
Dayna is a graduate of the University of Guelph where she holds a B.Sc. in Toxicology. She has been published in the Journal of Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology and the Journal of Applied Toxicology.
