Alia Vaz, Hons. B.Sc. Senior Manager, Toxicology
Alia Vaz, Senior Scientific Consultant with the Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare Group, has been with Intertek for over 18 years. Ms. Vaz’s primary focus is the management of nonclinical toxicology programs, including such activities as program planning and overall strategy development, study design, study placement and management of Contract Research Organizations (CROs), protocol assessment, study monitoring, and critical review and interpretation of nonclinical and clinical study data. Ms. Vaz is also involved in the authorship and review of regulatory documents of various types, including Investigator’s Brochures, INDs, NDAs, and CTAs.
Ms. Vaz received her Honours B.Sc. in Toxicology from the University of Toronto and worked in the Pharmaceuticals industry prior to joining the Intertek team.
Ms. Vaz is an active member of the Society of Toxicology of Canada and previously served in the role as President on the Executive Committee of the Lake Ontario Regional Chapter of the Society of Toxicology
