Scope:
CAN/CSA-Z241.0-18 - Definitions and general safety requirements for park model trailers
This Standard provides the definition of the term “park model trailer” as used in the CAN/CSA-Z241 Series. It also gives general safety requirements that apply to the other Standards in this Series.
CAN/CSA-Z241.1-18 -Vehicular requirements for park model trailers
This Standard specifies vehicular requirements for park model trailers, including minimum requirements for the coupling and the tongue or A-frame, and for the running gear of the trailer.
This Standard applies to park model trailers equipped with returnable running gear or limited-use running gear.
CAN/CSA-Z241.2-18 - Construction requirements for park model trailers
This Standard outlines the minimum requirements for materials, products, equipment, and quality of work needed to ensure that park model trailers will provide adequate
- structural strength and rigidity;
- protection against corrosion, decay, insects, and similar destructive forces;
- protection against the hazards of fire;
- resistance to the elements; and
- durability and economy of maintenance.
Applicable Products:
Park model trailer — a recreational unit that meets the following criteria:
- it is built on a single chassis mounted on wheels;
- it is designed to facilitate relocation from time to time;
- it is designed as living quarters for seasonal camping and may be connected to those utilities necessary for operation of installed fixtures and appliances; and
- it has a gross floor area not exceeding 50 m2 when in the set-up mode, and has a width greater than 2.6 m in the transit mode, and prohibits lofts.
Note: A park model trailer unit may include a kitchen or a bathroom or both as optional features.

Certification of the factory quality program and the park model trailer unit.
