Amines in Crude Oil
Amines additives may be necessary in crude oil but can create problems if in too high a concentration. With Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) being commonly found in crude oil, H2S scavengers (often referred to as Tramp Amines) can be problematic for the refinery.
