Keep your production line running smooth with our Hazardous Locations quality audit services
You can rest assured that factory inspections from Intertek will keep your production line moving while meeting the requirements of the ATEX and IECEx quality audits.
A quality audit is mandatory in order to comply with the ATEX Directive and is called a Quality Assurance Notification (QAN). Specifically, a QAN is required for ATEX equipment categories 1, 2, M1 and M2. Similar to ATEX, the IECEX Quality Assessment Report (QAR) is required for all equipment certifications under the IECEx Scheme.
The Audit cycle for the QAN and QAR is 3 years and surveillance must occur every 12-18 months. The principles of quality audits are based on several formal standards such as the ISO 900x international quality system standards.
