Intertek Expands Environmental Testing in Mexico

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions serving a wide range of industries around the world, today announced the opening of a new environmental laboratory in Villahermosa. The primary function of the new laboratory will further help satisfy the need for environmental testing services throughout Mexico.
The new Intertek laboratory is the first of its kind in Tabasco, providing analytical testing capabilities which meet the highest environmental standards and requirements. The lab tests soil, water, gas emissions, hazardous wastes, and auditing among other services, enabling regional clients access to local environmental services.

In addition to local authorizations, the laboratory will be ISO 17025 certified, and will be accredited by EMA (Entidad Mexicana de Acreditación), the Mexican Accreditation Body, CONAGUA (Comisión Nacional del Agua) National Water Commission, and the D.F. and Mexico State Governments.
