LDK Solar Joins Intertek’s Global Satellite Program

Program helps companies better adapt to the changing solar/PV market

Intertek, a (LSE: ITRK) a leading international provider of testing, inspection and certification services, today announced that LDK Solar has selected Intertek’s globally recognized “Satellite Program” – a revolutionary laboratory data acceptance program launched by Intertek in 2008, through which customers can be more active and flexible in product testing and certification.

Recognizing the changing certification requirements within the PV/solar industry, LDK Solar joined Intertek’s “Satellite Program” as its solution to be able to select the scope of certification and different testing methods based on their needs. More specifically, this program will allow for companies – like LDK Solar – operating in multiple markets across the globe to streamline their certification and meet the requirements of various countries. The “Satellite Program” currently covers the ETL Listed Mark and the WH Mark in North America, the S Mark in Europe, the ASTA and BEAB Marks in U.K., CB Scheme, and Intertek Quality Performance Mark (QPM).
