Intertek wins exclusive contract to test wind towers in China

Intertek, the leading quality solutions provider to industries worldwide, has been awarded an exclusive contract from China Resources New Energy Investment Co. Ltd. (CRNE) to supervise the manufacture of wind turbine towers in a number of locations across China. The contract includes the supervision, materials testing and non-destructive testing of approximately 30 projects, covering some 889 sets of wind towers and foundation rings.

Intertek supports wind power industry manufacturers, owners, developers and operators with a breadth of services. These cover the whole supply chain from product design assessment, type testing and certification, to manufacturing surveillance, field inspection and labelling, structural analysis and inspection and post-warranty inspection.
