Intertek Expands Australian Business Assurance Group

New general manager brings over 10 years of industry experience to increase service to the marketplace

Melbourne, Australia —Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions serving a wide range of industries worldwide, announced that it has appointed a new general manager for their Business Assurance group in Australiasia. Kiran Bhagat brings over 10 years of management experience including global business operations and sales management within the auditing, certification, and inspection industry.

Mr. Bhagat will be based in the Intertek Port Melbourne office. In his role as General Manager he will be responsible for driving forward the auditing and certification business within Australiasia. “Intertek’s global network of expert auditors and its wide service portfolio will help Australiasian organisations improve operations, meet regulatory requirements, reduce environmental impact, and achieve their business objectives” said Mr. Bhagat.   

The Business Assurance group of Intertek provides a full range of business process audit and support services, including accredited third-party management systems auditing and certification, second-party supplier auditing, sustainability data verification, process performance analysis, and IRCA-registered auditor training.
