Intertek Showcases Oil & Gas Capabilities at ADIPEC 2016

Abu Dhabi, UAE - Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, will be showcasing a suite of bespoke assurance, testing, inspection and certification capabilities for the oil and gas industry at Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2016.
 
Opening in the UAE capital on November 7, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, the 19th edition of ADIPEC attracts top executives, decision makers, innovators and experts from leading global and regional energy companies, government and semi-government bodies.
 
In addition to exhibiting, Intertek will also contribute to the presentation of a technical paper co-authored by Edmond Shtepani, Intertek Vice President of Upstream Services, J. K. Hassall, ADMA-OPCO and A. S. Zakaria, Intertek Project Manager.  The paper, titled “Evaluation of Porosity and Permeability in Lower Cretaceous Carbonates in UAE Using NMR Measurements at Laboratory and Reservoir Conditions”, discusses using improved nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements at both laboratory and reservoir conditions, to improve the accuracy of the micro-porosity and permeability measurements. These are important determinants in modelling oil and gas production and are particularly useful for many local limestone reservoirs.”
