Intertek Brings Consumer Product Safety Expertise to ICPHSO Annual Meeting

Chicago – Intertek, a Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, will be attending the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization’s (ICPHSO) 2018 Annual Meeting & Training Symposium, February 20 - 23, in Orlando, Florida. During the 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee event, Intertek will serve as sponsor and exhibitor. Additionally, experts will be on hand throughout the show to offer their insight and experience as they relate to this year’s theme of learning from history to make products safer in the future.
On Thursday, February 20, Intertek’s Eleanore Pittman, Safety Engineering Manager, joins a tutorial, ‘Techniques for Training Customer Service Reps and Other Methods for Staying Ahead of Potential Product Hazards’. The tutorial will provide advice for business on how to anticipate and stay ahead of potential product hazards, focusing on proactive tools that can be used to predict potential emerging hazards, leveraging historic injury data for related products and how consumer risk tolerance might change in light of new product technologies and innovations.
In the exhibit hall, Intertek will provide resources and information on product safety and compliance for toys, apparel, furniture, appliances, electronics and more. Visitors to the booth can speak with Intertek representatives one-on-one about issues such as chemical regulations, product safety requirements and industry regulation and standards.
