Intertek awarded contract by The Government of the Republic of Mozambique for its Conformity Assessment Programme (CAP)

Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract by the Government of the Republic of Mozambique, represented by the National Institute of Standards and Quality (INNOQ,IP), to support the new Conformity Assessment Programme for exports to the country.
The programme verifies the conformity of all regulated products in the respective exporting countries within a range of sectors. This ensures they comply with the applicable Mozambique technical regulations and quality standards, assuring Mozambique’s citizens of the quality and reliability of imported goods. In addition, Intertek will be partnering with INNOQ, IP to assist them in capacity building initiatives.

Exporters to Mozambique are required to provide a Certificate of Conformity for Customs clearance in accordance with Government regulations. This certificate can only be obtained from Intertek. Intertek is also approved for the Botswana, Cameroon, Gabon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Tanzania and Uganda programmes, giving exporters to the African continent a more efficient way to access markets by taking advantage of the synergies of using one provider for their certification needs.
