Refrigerant Detection of Flammable Refrigerant Systems: Certification and Installation

Refrigerant Detection Systems (RDS) are refrigerant leak detection systems that may be installed in HVAC and Refrigeration appliances that use an A2L, A2, or A3 refrigerant. In the event a refrigerant leak occurs, their purpose is to detect and then send system responses within the refrigerating appliance to perform the required actions to mitigate against ignition of the refrigerant.
