Impact Statement: A review of all Listing Reports is necessary to determine which products comply with new/revised requirements and which products will require re-evaluation. NOTE: Effective immediately, this revised standard will be exclusively used for evaluation of new products unless the Applicant requests in writing that current requirements be used along with their understanding that their listings will be withdrawn on Effective Date noted above, unless the product is found to comply with new/revised requirements.
Overview of Changes: (Specific details of new/revised requirements are found in table below):
- Rearrangement to include separate sections for each type of cord set, including those using connectors complying with requirements in CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60320-1;
- New requirements that will require retesting; and
- Requirements that have been added from other standards that were referenced in the previous edition C22.2 No 21-95 (R2009)
The content in this SUN is based on the CSA Certification Notice for wiring devices No. 101 dated May 5, 2015.
Fees: So that production of products bearing the Listing Mark will not be interrupted, a quote will be issued for the Applicant to work with their local Intertek Lab to determine the necessary test program, sampling requirement and needed construction details and/or updated marking/instruction details.
