The Sustainable Organisation understands the interrelationship between compliance requirements and the long term sustainability of the Organisation.
The Intertek Sustainability – Compliance Standard brings these requirements together, challenging the Organisation to evaluate their business practices, including the practices of supply chain partners, to support the long-term health of the Organisation, through the sustainability lens. The standard is divided into four main components; Ethics & Integrity, Regulation Monitoring, Contract Management and Verification.
Evaluates how all policies and processes around business ethics, code of conduct, values, anti-bribery & corruption are maintained in compliance with the long-term sustainability of the Organisation and is overseen and reported on by Senior Management.
Evaluates processes in place to monitor compliance with laws, regulations and voluntary commitments.
Evaluates how contracts are managed in accordance with ethical and sustainable business practices, as defined in the Organisation’s policies.
Evaluates how the Organisation engages in verification of the effectiveness of its compliance programme.
