Course Description
Module 3 of the IEC 61508 Functional Safety training focuses on the software aspect of safety throughout its development lifecycle. It provides an overview of IEC 61508-3, emphasizing the complexity of software in functional safety and how to prevent systematic failures. Participants will learn key steps in the software development process, including the integration of hardware and software requirements. The module covers safety activities from concept to code, software architecture, unit design, verification, validation, and testing. Additionally, it addresses modifications, tool qualification, data communication, and managing special requirements in software development.
At the end of the training Module each participant gets a certificate for attendance.
